Position Summary:
MacBean Communications is seeking a talented and ambitious Media Producer Intern. This role is ideal for a college junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in journalism who aspires to become a news director or producer. This internship offers the chance to gain comprehensive experience in writing, editing, and producing quality journalistic works across various media platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Write, edit, and produce journalistic content for print, broadcast, and digital media
- Assist in the creation and management of news stories and features
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content aligns with brand standards and messaging
- Utilize content management systems to publish and distribute content
- Stay current on the latest trends and best practices in journalism and media production
- Participate in editorial meetings and contribute to story ideas and planning
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a college junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in journalism
- Minimum GPA of 3.6
- Student leadership experience
- Demonstrated history of writing, editing, and producing quality journalistic works across print, broadcast, and digital media
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with content management systems and media production software
- Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in journalism
