Position Summary:

MacBean Communications is seeking a talented and ambitious Media Producer Intern. This role is ideal for a college junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in journalism who aspires to become a news director or producer. This internship offers the chance to gain comprehensive experience in writing, editing, and producing quality journalistic works across various media platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and produce journalistic content for print, broadcast, and digital media
  • Assist in the creation and management of news stories and features
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure content aligns with brand standards and messaging
  • Utilize content management systems to publish and distribute content
  • Stay current on the latest trends and best practices in journalism and media production
  • Participate in editorial meetings and contribute to story ideas and planning

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled as a college junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in journalism
  • Minimum GPA of 3.6
  • Student leadership experience
  • Demonstrated history of writing, editing, and producing quality journalistic works across print, broadcast, and digital media
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with content management systems and media production software
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in journalism
